Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (hereafter "Terms") govern your access to and use of **SnapGrader.org** (the "Platform"), owned and operated by **Sentinel Security Labs, LLC** ("Sentinel Security Labs," "we," "us," or "our").

By sending emails to grade@snapgrader.org, uploading test documents, or utilizing our dashboard, you represent that you are an authorized educational professional acting on behalf of a school or district, and that you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Beta Phase & Service Terms

SnapGrader is currently running in a **Closed Beta Focus Group** phase. By participating, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, with potential performance variations or processing delays.
  • We reserve the right to temporarily pause, restrict, or modify access parameters to test server performance and engine updates.
  • Usage during this beta phase is free, and we do not warrant constant server uptime or error-free parsing of sheets.

3. Educator Registration & Authority

To use SnapGrader, you must submit documents from a verified, school-issued email domain. You represent and warrant that:

  • You hold all necessary administrative authorizations, permissions, and parental consents from your school, district, or institutional employer to upload and process student work files.
  • You will not submit files containing cleartext sensitive personal information beyond standard teacher-graded quiz materials.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the grading accuracy of the output Excel spreadsheet reports before recording scores in any official school gradebook.

4. Acceptable Use Guidelines

You agree not to upload, email, or transmit through our Platform any content that:

  • Contains computer viruses, malware, trojan horses, or files designed to disrupt the grading parser engine.
  • Violates the intellectual property or copyrights of third-party test publisher materials without appropriate educational licensing.
  • Infringes on the privacy rights of students or personnel by bypassing PII scrubbing recommendations.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All ownership rights in the Platform, including but not limited to the grading algorithms, dashboard design layouts, styling, icons, and software, remain the exclusive property of **Sentinel Security Labs, LLC**.

You retain all rights, ownership, and copyrights in the original test papers, grading templates, and student work sheets uploaded to the Platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SENTINEL SECURITY LABS, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Platform;
  • Any errors or grading calculation failures in the automated report sheets;
  • Any security events, server pauses, or data incidents, subject to our compliance policies.

In no event shall the total aggregate liability of Sentinel Security Labs, LLC exceed the amount of fifty US dollars ($50.00).

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fort Worth, Texas.
